Biden DOJ Drops Charges Against Illegal Aliens Who Tried to Breach a US Military Base

Two Muslim illegal aliens were arrested in May for trying to breach Quantico Marine Corps Base near Quantico, VA, last May. Hasan Yousef Hamdan and Mohammad Khair Dabous were posing as Amazon delivery drivers. The Biden regime had already made the bizarre move of releasing the two Jordanian nationals from federal custody. Last week, the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia dropped all charges against the two men. They’re wandering around the country free once again, doing who knows what.

Hamdan and Dabous had disguised themselves as Amazon delivery drivers but had no credentials when the Marine guards stopped them at the front gate. The guards asked them to pull their vehicle over to a holding area for another inspection. Instead of obeying them, the two illegal aliens tried to drive through the front gate. The guards hit the button that deployed the vehicle barricades and stopped them.

One of the men was in the country illegally after overstaying a student visa. The other one crossed the US-Mexico border illegally just one month before the incident at Quantico. After they were apprehended by the Marines for trying to breach the base, they were turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The Biden-Harris regime released them from ICE custody.

They were both facing trespassing charges after the May incident. The US Attorney’s Office ordered them released so long as they would pinky-swear to show up to their immigration hearings. If there’s one thing that less than 5% of illegal aliens are willing to do, it’s show up for their immigration hearings. The US Attorney also made the two Islamic illegal aliens promise to stay away from military bases.

After letting them go, Joe Biden’s Justice Department under Attorney General Merrick Garland has now dropped the charges against the two men. They say that dropping the charges serves “the ends of justice.” No one is sure what this means, other than indicating that the Justice Department doesn’t want to talk about it.

Lawyers for Hamdan and Dabous say it was a language barrier problem. They claim that Dabous was trying to complete a delivery and he just misunderstood the guards. Well, that explains why the two men were dressed up in costumes as Amazon delivery drivers!
Todd Bensman is a senior national security fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies. He notes that the entire incident is bizarre.

“The government had many, many opportunities to dispel the notion that there was something more nefarious about this than met the eye,” says Bensman. “And they took a pass every time.”

House Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) says his committee has been demanding answers from the Biden regime, but they’ve done nothing but stonewall Congress. Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin has also demanded answers about the incident. He’s been ignored as well. This shouldn’t surprise us. It’s been the pattern of the Biden White House for four years now.

We know that one of the men crossed the southern border illegally in April. He claimed asylum and the Biden regime let him in, as they always do with every illegal alien who does not qualify for refugee status. Just 30 days later, the man tried to break into a secure US military base while wearing a disguise. (Hey, it always works in Mission: Impossible movies!) Biden then lets the illegal aliens go, drops all charges against them, and refuses to answer any questions about it.
