Trans Democrat Rep Explodes Over Trump’s Election Plan

President Donald Trump’s push to restore confidence in America’s elections is already sending Democrats into a frenzy. On Monday night, Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE) took to social media, denouncing Trump’s initiative to ban mail-in ballots and scrap electronic voting machines.

McBride, who identifies as transgender, raged on X that Trump is launching “an all-out assault not just on free and fair elections—but on American democracy itself.” He accused the president of copying “his favorite dictator” and suggested that only a deeply unpopular leader would “illegally gerrymander districts, ban voting machines, or abolish vote-by-mail.”

The accusations came just hours after Trump doubled down on his long-standing criticism of mail-in voting and electronic tabulation machines, saying they are ripe for fraud and manipulation. Speaking to Fox News host Sean Hannity after his Alaska meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump quoted Putin’s own observation: “You can’t have an honest… election with mail-in voting.”

On Truth Social, Trump followed up with a lengthy post outlining his plan to sign an executive order targeting both mail-in ballots and voting machines before the 2026 midterm elections.

“I am going to lead a movement to get rid of MAIL-IN BALLOTS, and also, while we’re at it, Highly ‘Inaccurate,’ Very Expensive, and Seriously Controversial VOTING MACHINES,” Trump wrote. He argued that paper ballots with watermarks provide certainty at the end of Election Day about “who WON, and who LOST, the Election.”

Trump noted that America is “the only Country in the World that uses Mail-In Voting,” stressing that other nations abandoned the practice after encountering widespread fraud. He declared that his executive order would restore honesty to the system—though he warned Democrats would “strongly oppose” it because, in his words, “they cheat at levels never seen before.”

He reminded followers that under the Constitution, the states act merely as “agents” for the federal government in elections. That authority, he said, gives the president the right to ensure fair tabulation of votes “for the good of our country.”

The president argued Democrats are “virtually unelectable” without mass mail-in voting, pointing to their “HORRIBLE Radical Left policies, like Open Borders, Men Playing in Women’s Sports, Transgender and ‘WOKE’ for everyone.” He added bluntly: “ELECTIONS CAN NEVER BE HONEST WITH MAIL IN BALLOTS/VOTING, and everybody, IN PARTICULAR THE DEMOCRATS, KNOWS THIS.”

McBride’s outrage reflects a broader panic from the Left, which has relied heavily on mail-in ballots in recent elections. In 2024, millions of votes were cast via absentee or drop-box ballots, a method Republicans have consistently flagged as vulnerable to fraud. Trump’s call to scrap electronic voting machines altogether is also sending shockwaves through progressive circles, where confidence in those systems has been portrayed as non-negotiable.

As Trump prepares to sign the executive order, he vowed to fight “like hell to bring honesty and integrity back to our elections.” He closed his post with a stark warning: “Without fair and honest elections, and strong and powerful borders, you don’t have even a semblance of a country.”

The clash between Trump and McBride underscores the battle lines heading into the 2026 midterms. For Democrats, keeping mail-in ballots and voting machines intact could mean the difference between survival and political oblivion. For Trump, dismantling them may be the key to restoring trust in America’s electoral system.
